Trek 6 days - 5 nights
During this intense exploration, discover the enchanting landscapes of the desert, with its majestic dunes and breathtaking panoramas. Our experienced guides will lead you through captivating trails, providing a total immersion into the wild nature.
Day 1
The tour starts with riding camel into the desert towards the big dunes of Erg Chigaga. We are on our way to discover the wonderful big desert. After about 3 hours of riding, we stop for a lunch break under the shadow of a tree. Enjoy a cup of tea and relax.
We continue our riding and trekking for another 3 hours until we reach a dry river (Oued Naam). Here we set our camp for the night. The chef prepares tea and dinner and you spend the night in a tent or you can sleep outside under the starlit sky.
Day 2
In the morning, the tour continues in the midst of the desert. We cross a big part of the desert for about 3 hours, before we find a place to stop for lunch.
After the meal, we continue the exploration and enjoy the fabulous desert landscape.
After another about 3 hours ride, we set our camp in the wonderful dunes area of Lotide. Here we have dinner and spend the night under the starlit sky.
Day 3
Enjoy the sunrise and morning breakfast. Then we carry on with our trekking towards the big dunes of Erg Chigaga. Lunch and a cup of tea are offered in the Sacred Oasis before we reach the dunes. In this oasis, we find palm trees and a source of water which is running the whole year around. It is used by the nomads and their herds.
After another 15 km of riding, we arrive to the big dunes of Erg Chigaga. The biggest dunes reach a height of 300 m and have a span of 40 km. Admire the sunset and experience a unique world, one made of calmness and tranquility.
Enjoy dinner accompanied by local entertainment and spend the night in a Berber tent at the bivouac
Day 4
In the morning we follow the route back towards the desert door (M’hamid). After about 3 hours riding, we stop for a lunch break under the shadow of a tree.
Then we continue our trip to the dunes of Bougarn where we spend the night.
Day 5
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. Breakfast is served in the Moroccan way.
Then we continue our discovery of the desert landscapes, before stopping for lunch and a cup of mint tea.
After lunch the camel trekking continues towards the dunes of Mezouaria. This is where we spend the night, either in the tent or in the open air under the starlit sky.
Day 6
On the morning of the sixth day, we continue our ride towards the hotel in M’hamid.
At arrival, we have lunch together to mark the end of this exceptional wild camp tour.
